This Baltimore based company, located in an old downtown fire station, is a powerhouse of production. Led by Karida, the owner who started it by hand dying small batches of yarn in her graduate student D.C. apartment, the NFC team now runs an impressive kettle dye operation. Hues are super saturated and fill the entire color spectrum. They’re inspired by and named for dozens of D.C. and Baltimore neighborhoods. This company is purposefully socially conscious. Follow their newsletter to learn about the issues and causes they support. They also offer dye classes and retreats, plus classes and shopping at their two floor studio space.
